На 29-31.10.2013 г. се проведе Втората международна конференция „Пътят на коприната”, организирана от Институт Конфуций – София и СУ „Св. Климент Охридски”. Конференцията има за свой надслов названието на известния древен междуконтинентален път, свързващ Азия, Североизточна Африка и Европа, който отдавна се е превърнал в символ на богатия културен обмен между Китай и света, между Изтока и Запада.
Конференцията обхваща широк кръг от теми в областта на китаистиката и изтокознанието – езикознание, литература и култура, философия, религия, история, социално-икономическо развитие, международни отношения.
